The useful answer

TCG Card Shop Simulator is a single-player game. The official 1.0 FAQ says multiplayer is not planned in the near future, and tournaments are simulated with NPCs. Real co-op exists only as a community mod (CardShopCoop), and the similarly titled TCG Multiplayer Card Shop Simulator on Steam is a different game entirely.

The short answer: no online multiplayer

If you searched “tcg card shop simulator multiplayer” hoping for an online mode: the official 1.0 FAQ states that multiplayer is not planned in the near future, and reference databases list the game as singleplayer with a one-time purchase. That statement is tied to the FAQ's publication date, not a promise about every future update — but as of the 1.0-era builds, there is nothing to switch on.

Everything that looks like other people in your shop — customers, duel opponents, tournament players — is an NPC. That is a design fact, not a missing setting you need to unlock.

What the game has instead

Version 1.0 added the parts that satisfy the same itch: playable Tetramon duels against customers at play tables, and the ability to join tournaments your shop hosts. Reporting on the March 2026 v0.70 Tournament Update was explicit that tournaments are fully simulated through NPC interactions — competitive atmosphere, no network play. Our Tetramon guide covers starting your first duel.

So the honest framing is: the social loop is you, your shop, and a cast of simulated regulars — plus, if you want it, modding.

The co-op mod: CardShopCoop

One community project does deliver genuine co-op: CardShopCoop on Nexus, version 1.2.0 when checked on 29 September 2026. Its pitch is a true shared shop: one store, one wallet, one collection, with both players stocking shelves, working the register, haggling with trade-in customers and opening packs in the same space.

The requirements are strict, and they are the practical small print: BepInEx 5 (5.4.23 x64) installed on both PCs, the same CardShopCoop version and the same mod list — content packs included — on both, and the same storefront (both Steam, or both Game Pass; the two builds differ and mixed pairs are refused by default). Press F2 in game for its co-op window. It is a young project with modest endorsement counts, so treat it as promising rather than proven: back up your save first, and read the mod's own page for current limitations before planning a co-op campaign.

Do not confuse it with the clone

Searches for multiplayer also surface a separate Steam title, TCG Multiplayer Card Shop Simulator, by a different developer. It left Early Access in August 2026. It is not a mode of, DLC for, or sister project to OPNeon's game — just a similar name in the same genre, which is exactly the kind of result “multiplayer” searches surface. Check the store page and developer before buying.

Video results make the confusion worse, and we verified it rather than assume it: when we checked on 29 September 2026, the most-viewed “multiplayer” video in this space (67,009 views) is a group playthrough of the clone — its opening line names TCG Multiplayer Card Shop Simulator as the game being played. So when a video promises multiplayer for this game, first check which game is actually on screen; the giveaway is usually the title screen and the store page it links.

Keeping expectations current

“Not planned in the near future” is a dated statement, not a permanent one. The developer continued supporting the game after 1.0 with fixes, and official announcements remain the place a multiplayer decision would appear — see the version notes. Until then, the only genuine two-player shop is the CardShopCoop mod above.
