The useful answer

There are no official cheat codes. Players who want free money use a trainer app (WeMod), the in-game TCGCSS Trainer mod, or Cheat Engine tables. All three edit values in a single-player game: back up your save first, expect game updates to break them, and know that a cheated shop teaches you nothing about running one.

No official cheats exist

No cheat codes appear in any official release notes we have reviewed, and the developer has not shipped a console or a sandbox mode. What the community calls “cheats” for this game falls into three unofficial routes: a desktop trainer app, an in-game trainer mod, and Cheat Engine. All of them work because the game is single-player — the only economy you are editing is your own.

The Steam listing shows 50 achievements. Cheat-style tools tend to trivialize several of them; whether that matters is your call, but go in knowing it.

Route 1: the WeMod trainer app

WeMod's trainer topic lists options such as Add Money On Spend, Edit Money, Multiply EXP Gain, Fast Employee Work Speed and Open Pack All Foil Cards. A trainer is a third-party desktop app that writes to the running game's memory; it is not affiliated with the developer.

The standard cautions apply more than the technical ones: download only from the vendor's own site, expect options to lag behind game updates, and treat “works for everyone else” threads as reports, not guarantees.

Route 2: the TCGCSS Trainer mod

The most integrated route is a Nexus mod: TCGCSS Trainer (Cheats - Mod Menu), a BepInEx plugin that adds an in-game menu with money cheats (+$100, +$500), editing for various stats and optional quality-of-life toggles. Because it is a normal mod, it installs through the same BepInEx procedure as everything else, and it breaks the same way after game updates — the post-update checklist covers getting it working again.

Route 3: Cheat Engine

The manual route: Cheat Engine scans the game's memory for the value you want to change. Community tables exist — one shared example makes any product purchasable for 0.01 currency, with the table's own note that it does not apply to furniture or bills. YouTube walkthroughs show the scanning process step by step, recorded on specific older builds.

This is the most fragile option: values move between versions, tables stop working after every patch, and a wrong edit can corrupt a save. It is also the only route that teaches you anything transferable, if memory editing itself interests you.

Risks before you start

  • Save safety first. Copy your save folder before any cheat session — the save-file guide shows where it lives. A corrupted cheated save is unrecoverable; a backup is one paste away.
  • Updates break tools. Trainers and tables target specific game builds. After each patch, expect a wait for updated versions.
  • Third-party software is third-party. Trainer apps and mod files come from outside the game; use official download pages, keep antivirus active, and never enter game or Steam credentials anywhere but Steam.
  • Stacking risks. We have not tested trainers alongside card and framework mods; combine them at your own caution and change one thing at a time.

What the videos show — and when they were filmed

We checked the top cheat videos for this game on 29 September 2026, and their dates matter more than their view counts. The most-viewed Cheat Engine cash video (52,156 views) was recorded on the free Prologue in August 2024, and its own title notes the no-mod method it shows was later patched — its auto-generated transcript contains barely any spoken steps at all, just a screen capture set to music. The Cheat Engine money and XP walkthroughs that do talk through the scanning process date to the late-2024 Early Access builds, and the trainer app's own demo video is from October 2024.

The practical read: treat every cheat video as a recording of one build on one date. The interface it clicks and the values it finds can both change with a patch, so if a step dead-ends, the video's age is the first suspect — not your technique. None of the popular cheat routes we found has been re-recorded against the 1.0-era builds.

The honest alternative

If the underlying goal is “my shop never has enough money”, a twenty-minute experiment may beat a trainer: pick one product, record cost, price and units sold across two comparable sessions, and let the Profit Lab do the arithmetic. The pricing guide shows the method. Money you tune yourself keeps the game interesting; money you spawn quietly ends it.
