Start with one loader and two or three maintained quality-of-life mods, such as faster pack opening, automatic pricing and one-click restock. Prefer a mod updated for your game build over one with the most endorsements, and test anything that touches saves on its own.
How this shortlist is chosen
This is an editorial starting point, not a ranking. The game's Nexus hub listed roughly 790 mods when we checked on 25 September 2026, far more than anyone should install at once. We selected names that appear consistently in the hub's top listings and community recommendations, grouped by the job they do, and noted what each one actually changes.
We have not run these mods ourselves. Before installing anything, open its Nexus page and compare its last-update date with your current game version; that single check filters out most trouble. Names and availability shift as authors retire or rename projects, so treat this page as a dated snapshot.
Quality-of-life starters
These address the tasks players most often call tedious, which is why they dominate the hub's popular listings:
- Fast Pack Opening — adds a configurable multiplier to the pack-opening animation, with extra options. The single most recommended starter.
- Quick Scan — scans every item at the register in one interaction instead of one per card.
- Auto Set Prices — applies a configurable markup to cards and packs daily or on demand, so you stop repricing by hand.
- Auto Light Switch — turns the shop lights on at a time you choose.
- One Click Restock — reorders the stock missing from your shelves from the cart menu.
- Display Customers Money — shows what each entering customer can spend (toggle with Q), so you serve big spenders first.
Install at most a few of these together, using the install procedure one mod at a time.
Collection and shop-floor tools
A second group changes how you manage cards and space rather than saving clicks:
- Enhanced Binder — reworks the card album for browsing large, modded collections.
- Spawn Boxes — creates empty cardboard boxes on demand instead of waiting to buy them in.
- Custom grading mods — expand grading slots and let you define your own grading service terms.
- Better Collision — relaxes placement rules so furniture fits closer together, including outdoor setups; relevant to our layout workflow.
- Pack and collection counters — track how many packs you have opened across playthroughs, useful when you record your own pack observations.
Custom-card frameworks
Three tools power most content mods: TextureReplacer (swap textures, meshes and data), Art Expander (its frequent companion) and the Enhanced Prefab Loader, which lets modders add entirely new items and card sets. The Project TCG Overhaul ecosystem builds custom expansions on top of these and runs its own community support channels.
If you install content mods, check which frameworks they require and match every component's version to your game build — mismatched frameworks are the most common cause of the black-texture failures reported around the 1.0 update.
Franchise skin packs (unofficial)
The most visible mods reskin the entire game around an existing franchise: Pokémon, Yu-Gi-Oh, One Piece, Star Wars, Hololive and others, some replacing card sets and shop items wholesale. They are popular for a reason, and the larger projects are actively maintained.
Two cautions. These are fan-made works with no connection to the franchise owners or to OPNeon Games, and their availability depends entirely on their authors. We link to Nexus rather than hosting files, and you should expect a franchise pack to be the first thing an update breaks and the last thing repaired.
Before you install any of them
Back up your save, note your game and loader versions, and add mods in small batches so a problem is always attributable. Community threads repeatedly connect save anomalies — including reported day and level resets — to mods that interact with hand size or pack mechanics; that attribution is player-reported rather than established, but it is enough reason to add such mods alone, not in bulk.
If an update breaks your setup, work through the post-update checklist before reinstalling anything. And if your interest is collections rather than tooling, our collecting guide covers the unmodded pack-decision workflow.
